Aikido is a japanese martial art. It is the practice with the bare hand, with a stick, a sword or a knife in wood. (The arms have a function that is today more didactic than in the past, but which nevertheless remains of a martial effectiveness.)
A few good reasons to practice Aikido :
– Effective and gentle at the same time it can be practiced by everyone, all ages, gender or physical conditions combined.
– It is widely recognized by doctors, physiotherapists and osthéopathes to be a very good maintenance physical.
– User-friendly through the practice of two, there is a proximity to the other that is sometimes lacking to our modern way of life.
It is also the synthesis techniques that have survived the centuries. These were practiced by the Samurai.
The practice helps a growing awareness of the body, movements, relationships, and our place in our environment. It is a martial art without competition or opposition. This is also a good tool for self-development. It is a complete art, developing the body and mind.
